George Shake, partner at Duffee + Eitzen, received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2012. Shake also has undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Business from the City University of New York, a master’s degree in School Psychology from the University of North Texas and a license to practice school psychology.

Shake’s professional admissions include the State Bar of Texas, Texas Supreme Court, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He has been named as a SuperLawyers Rising Star, selected by Expertise as a Best Family Lawyer in Plano, AVVO “Superb” 10 Rating, and has received the Stars of Texas Bar Award for his article series “Families with Children with Disabilities.” Shake is also active in Texas Lawyers for Children and Boy Scouts of America.

He works with families to assess children and help parents and schools create educational programs. Shake works with ADHD and autism issues and has participated in countless special education meetings, discipline meetings, and teacher conferences. He has held administrative positions in several local public schools, written policies and trained school personnel to comply with federal and state regulations for serving children with special needs. Shake has worked tirelessly on behalf of individuals with disabilities for twenty-five years, and trained professionals throughout the Dallas area for fifteen years.
